If  I could sit across from you right now, I would probably offer a big ol' hug, (admittedly I'm a bit overly enthusiastic sometimes), and tell you how happy I am you've decided to visit my shop. After my daughter, Hadley, was born during the early covid-19 days, I purchased a children's watercolor set online and unlocked an entirely new world of wonder and beauty! 

 I quickly fell in love with painting family portraits for people all over the world and decided to step away from my job as an Events Coordinator at a local church and step into a new ministry full-time -- the ministry of telling your stories and celebrating the beauty of this life.

LydMothersYoung, as a brand, was birthed from a satirical take on my tendency to do everything from a young age, (marry, have babies, become an entrepreneur). What started as a social media handle, (& an underlying joke), became an endearing name for my watercolor brand and custom art.

My greatest joy is to serve you with my art. My greatest honor is to offer an enjoyable experience and a finished product that you may treasure for many years to come.

All I hope to be is an example of what the redeeming love of  Jesus might look like.  I don't always get it right, but the result of when I do is always intended to glorify His name.
